The wholesale price index of grapes in South Africa and China declined in W4 Nov 2021 to 168.15 (-33.8% WoW) and 110.3 ( -2.3% WoW), respectively. On the other hand, Spanish grape’s wholesale price index inclined to 137.52, +44.9% WoW in W4 Nov 2021. Unfavorable weather leads to disruption of grape production, added high shipping costs have faced South Africa and China to the uncertainty in the global market. Low demand for South African and Chinese grapes possibly makes the price index fell. Meanwhile, Spanish seedless grapes have a high demand potentially making the price index surge.
