The wholesale price of fresh longan in Thailand (Ratchaburi) soared 25% YoY in W4 of September 22, reaching USD 1.67/kg compared to the same period last year when the price stood at USD 1.33/kg. Reduction in yield caused by adverse weather in the pollination period and farmers turning to the more profitable Durian production were the main reasons for the price uptake.
