The wholesale price of fresh grapefruit in Russia has shown a positive rise to USD 1.78/kg in W4 of May-22, an 18.82% YoY increase from the same period last year. While inflation in Russia is still high, according to official information, in May was 17.69%, another cause for price uptake is the lack of supply of fresh grapefruit. After Russia lifted the ban on grapefruit, Turkey has stabilized export, while South African traders are turning to other markets due to the shipping cost and logistics problems.
