During the third week of December 2021, walnut wholesale prices in China increased by +66.26% YoY to 2.54 USD/KG. Simultaneously, walnut wholesale prices also increased in Ukraine by +54.17% YoY to 8.33 USD/KG. In the case of China, walnut prices increased due to an abnormally freezing Spring, reducing production in the biggest walnut-producing province in China. On the other hand, an increased walnut production in Ukraine due to favorable weather will lead to a decline in prices.
