The decline in the import price of lentils that occurred in the US made the total import volume increase to reach 50 M pounds in 2021. The lower price pushed higher market demand, and this happened to the US which imported more lentils in 2021. At the same time , Canada as a major exporter of lentils to the US has increased its supply to the US to meet US domestic consumption of lentils.
