Russia abolished duties on chicken imports for the year 2024

From the beginning of next year, the Russian Government has abolished duties on the import of frozen chicken meat under quotas. This was reported by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers. We are talking about supplying no more than 140 thousand tons of this product. The new relaxations will be valid for six months, that is, until June 30 inclusive. This measure, according to the Government’s plan, should increase the supply of this product, which should stabilize prices for this and other domestic poultry products (the cost of which is also rising to that of chicken). Previously, the Ministry of Agriculture made a proposal to zero duties on this product, as well as on eggs, at the beginning of the month.
