The blockage of lobster exports to China since August is not due to safety or customs violations, but rather due to China's regulations on protecting rare and endangered animals. China has included spiny lobsters in the list of species requiring level 2 protection, and a ban on catching, using, and trading them will be implemented in May 2023. China has proposed signing a protocol to control Vietnam's naturally exploited live aquatic products exported to China, and the Department of Quality, Processing, and Market Development will continue discussions and coordinate with other departments to comply with regulations and establish protocols.
