Our Almond Kernel from Spain
Tridge is offering quality Spanish almonds to our global buyers. The two most highly requested varieties include Comuna and Largueta, but we are also able to offer other varieties such as Soleta, Marcona, and Guara upon request.
Following the US, Spain is the world’s largest producer of almonds. With an increased health consciousness in the world, almonds are becoming ever more popular and the demand is continuing to boom. In fact, the surge in worldwide demand for almonds is so great that Spanish farmers are replacing traditional wheat and sunflower fields with almond orchards, which is changing the country’s agricultural landscape. Spanish almonds are known for their superior quality as a result of the higher oil content. This makes the almond sweeter, juicier, and more intensely flavored.
Our almonds are collected from orchards using special machinery and taken to a reception area where a test is run to determine the type of process based on humidity, maturity, and quality of the batch. The comprehensive process our almonds undergo, along with our certifications (i.e. IFS, BRC, FDA, ISO, CAAE) ensures that Tridge will provide only the highest quality product.
