Indonesian octopus can be found in the subtropical climate, nearby the Mediterranean and South Pacific seas, such as Maluku (Banda and Seram), Kalimantan, Sulawesi, and the Southern part of the Java Sea.
The peak season of Indonesian octopus is on March, May, October, and November when the tide is low and the temperature of the sea starts to warm up. Our octopus is mainly exported to the US, Italy, and East Asian countries.
There are 2 octopus species that are commonly found in Indonesia: Octopus Vulgaris and Octopus Ocellatus. Octopus Vulgaris is more widely known for its texture and ease of catching. Indonesian octopus For dimension, it varied from 60gr (baby) to 3kg up (giant), depending on customer requirement.
Tridge is able to pack up to 18 metric tons or around 40,000 pounds of Frozen Octopus in a 40f FT container. Before our octopus is delivered to our customers, it will be cleaned and frozen in the form of either BQF (Block) or IQF (Flower & Ball types), depending on the buyer’s preference.
