Tridge’s sesame seed is sustainably sourced from over 100,000 smallholder farmers. They are freshly harvested and processed under the guidelines of good post-harvest practices to assure the supply of top-quality sesame seed. The production process includes sourcing and quality sesame seeds, drying, grading, sorting, cleaning, and packaging.

The sesame seed is collected through government-controlled collection centers in the South Eastern region of the country then transported to Dar es Salaam, screened, cleaned, and bagged into 50-kilo bags. After the cleaning and bagging it is then packed into 20- and 40-tonne containers, which are transported to shipping lines for onward shipment to export destinations through the Dar es Salaam Port. The main harvesting and marketing period occurs from April-August.

Our sesame seeds from Tanzania are white and brown in appearance/color, with a nutty taste. The sesame seeds are packed in 50 kg packaging bags ready for export. Samples are delivered in 1 kg food sachets. Tridge's suppliers pay attention to potential chemical and physiological limits such as moisture, fatty Acids, Oil Content, size, maturity of the seeds, as well as, organoleptic characteristics, taste, appearance, and odour, and grading quality.
