Cassava is widely grown from North to South and Tay Ninh is the capital place to grow cassava in Vietnam country. Cassava's growing season varies according to the specific conditions of each locality, but the harvest time can begin 8-10 months after planting. Cassava grown for flour production is usually harvested after 10-12 months. Sweet cassava varieties grown for fresh eating can be harvested in 6-9 months.
Vietnam has become the second-largest exporter of tapioca starch in the world. In the first 6 months of 2021, Vietnam's exports of cassava and cassava products reached 1.59 million tons, worth $611.69 million, up 15.6% in volume and 29.9% in value compared to the same period in 2020. China is the main import market of Vietnam, followed by countries such as Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, Philippines, Japan, Pakistan, and etc.
