Located on one of the highest points of Saint-Emilion, Château Destieux, an 8.12 hectare property in one piece, dominates the Dordogne valley. Destieux, contraction of “Des Yeux”, is a place where the villagers gathered to admire the sunsets.
Convinced by this unique terroir, the Dauriac family acquired the estate in 1971 in order to reveal its full potential. The cellar and the equipment were modernized in 1999. This cru has evolved to become a very great wine: ripe, rich, ample, full of finesse, worthy of this exceptional terroir. Accompanied by a team of enthusiasts , Château Destieux progresses step by step.
These efforts were rewarded in 2006 with the accession of Château Destieux to the rank of Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Emilion , and it was twice winner of the GCC Cup at Vinexpo Hong Kong in 2012 and 2014, and also a finalist in 2010.
