Gingerich Farms is a fifth generation farm established in 1919 in the lush Willamette Valley outside of Camby, Oregon. From the beginning, the Zingerich family was primarily a farmer. We believe in our dedication to our land, crops, people and communities. Gingerich Farms began as a combination of growing crop rotations and raising livestock. Long-term crops such as Christmas trees, blueberries, and hazelnuts (known locally as hazelnuts) eventually joined the mix. Gingerich Farms Co. currently grows seeds, blueberries and hazelnuts. Grass and clover seeds are grown under contract for domestic and international companies, while blueberries and hazelnuts are grown for domestic marketers with international sales. The combination of seed rotation, long-term blueberry fields and long-term hazelnut plantations ensures diversity and joy for the Zingerich family and employees.
Over time, Gingerich Farms has expanded its activities to include packaging and processing. The first hazelnut washing line with dryer he was built in 1987 and has been continuously expanded and improved to this day. Nuts washed and dried on our lines are shipped to George Packing Co. or Northwest Hazelnut Co. for sizing, grading, packing, or further processing. We source our hazelnut crop from many local farms and have averaged over 6.5 million pounds of hazelnuts annually since 2013.
