Company Story
In 1999, three businesses merged to form the fishing and fish processing company Skinney-inganes: Skinneyjar, Borgeyjar, and Inganess Borgey, which was established in the spring of 1946 by Kaupfélag Austur-Skaftfellinga and approximately twenty individuals, was the oldest of these businesses and also the oldest shipping company in Höfn that was still in operation.
Skinney – Inganes places an emphasis on ethical fishing, the production of high-quality goods from wild seafood, and dependable business practices. The company operates a diverse and substantial fishing and fish processing business and has access to fishing permits from a variety of beneficial stocks in "Slandsmiur."
