INTRO

Welcome to Yobees Story, we are a 100% New Zealand (Kiwi) owned and family operated company, Yobees is located across New Zealand’s volcanic Regions and crafted in Wanganui.

Yobees was Founded in 2013, Yobees is co-owned by Johann & Rachel Ander, Neil & Hellen Walker and Gavin & Katherine Ander.

STORY

I (Johann Ander manager of Yobees) have been very passionate about bees since I was a kid and after studying Apiculture and becoming an apiarist, I spent several years working for some of the largest Honey companies in NZ. With all this experience and after meeting with Neil we decided to create Yobees in 2013.

We (Yobees Honey Ltd) decided we wanted to create extraordinary honey, honey that is pure and Active. The decision was made to concentrate only on High-Grade manuka with the Unique compounds. It excited us that this would be our claim to fame and that was exactly what we did.

Our Manaka Cultivars are bred from the best genetics through years of scientific research. After a time of producing and selling bulk manuka honey, we became tired of hearing in the news how manuka honey was being adulterated, blended with other types of honey, and unnatural ingredients added, with the purpose of deceiving buyers. To prevent that happening to the honey produced by our bees, and to maintain our good reputation, we decided we needed to have total control over the whole process.

FRIENDLY TO THE ENVIRONMENT:

Our Bees are on several sites located in spots around Taupo, Taranaki, and Wanganui (the volcanic regions) where they pollinate and Most of our Manuka producing sites are on Carbon farms in which Neil Walker owns and gets Carbon credits for.

We also have huge plantations of Manuka, Riwa Riwa and other trees. We always encourage our landowners to do the same.
