Osung Fisheries is located in Dolsan, Yeosu City, Jeollanam-do, where the Hanryeo Haesang National Park and Dadohae Haesang National Park meet. We are a specialized seafood company that directly catches anchovies and processes them.
We own two fleets (totaling 6 vessels) in the clean fishing zones of Jeollanam-do and Gyeongsangnam-do along the southern coast of Korea. Our integrated system manages everything from fishing and drying to production, storage, and shipping.
In 2009, with support from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and Yeosu City, we established a factory equipped with state-of-the-art hygiene facilities and advanced cold air and far-infrared drying equipment, ensuring high-quality safety standards. By 2015, we added automated facilities and secondary sterilization systems, and in 2017, we expanded our food production system to meet U.S. and global food safety standards.
We prioritize fresh and clean anchovies, using sun-dried salt and low-salt cooking techniques to ensure consumer health. We focus on quality (hygiene) management and have obtained various certifications, including HACCP from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, quality certifications from the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, Jeollanam-do Governor’s quality certification, Yeosu Haenuri certification, and Malaysia HALAL (JAKIM) certification. We currently hold SQF 2000 certification and Indonesia HALAL (MUI) certification.
Additionally, we comply with the seafood traceability system regulations and have registered our overseas factories (Vietnam, Indonesia, China) with the National Fishery Products Quality Management Service. After seven years of effort, we secured the U.S. FDA GREEN LIST NUMBER, opening the path for exports to North and Central America.
