Company Description
In 2001 Master Jang's Black Ginseng Lab became the first in the world to apply the traditional "Gujung-Gupo" (steamed and dried nine times) method to ginseng production, creating black ginseng with its distinctive dark color.

By steaming ginseng nine times using pinewood fires in a cast iron cauldron and sun-drying it between each session, we produce black ginseng that stands out in its taste, aroma, and efficacy. This labor-intensive process cannot be easily replicated, and we carry it out with deep craftsmanship and a strong sense of mission.

We are a family-owned business, proud to uphold tradition with the sole commitment to crafting premium-quality black ginseng.

Over 40 Days of Artisan Craftsmanship in Traditional Handmade Production

Our premium black ginseng is crafted through a rigorous 40–50-day process: steamed nine times over pinewood fires in cast iron cauldrons and sun-dried between each round. This traditional handmade method produces a rich, deep aroma, a harmonized balance of five flavors (omija), and exceptional efficacy—offering a quality far beyond that of machine-produced ginseng.
