In 2001 Master Jang's Black Ginseng Lab became the first in the world to apply the traditional "Gujung-Gupo" (steamed and dried nine times) method to ginseng production, creating black ginseng with its distinctive dark color.
By steaming ginseng nine times using pinewood fires in a cast iron cauldron and sun-drying it between each session, we produce black ginseng that stands out in its taste, aroma, and efficacy. This labor-intensive process cannot be easily replicated, and we carry it out with deep craftsmanship and a strong sense of mission.
