The Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) January report predicts an increase in wheat production for the 2024/25 marketing year, reaching 33.3 million tons. Wheat consumption is expected to be 8.8 million tons, with exports at 24.4 million tons and ending stocks at 4.2 million tons. Barley production is also expected to rise to 9.3 million tons, with consumption and exports projected at 6.5 and 2.8 million tons respectively, and ending reserves at 0.8 million tons. Canola production is forecasted at 18.4 million tons, with consumption at 10.8 million tons, exports at 7.7 million tons, and ending stocks at 1.4 million tons.
