Cucumbers are becoming more expensive again due to a shortage of supply in Ukraine: what will happen to prices in the future

In Ukraine, greenhouse cucumbers are currently on sale at UAH 90-120/kg, which is on average 24% more expensive than a week earlier. As stated on the analytical platform EastFruit, market participants attribute the price increase in this segment to increased demand for greenhouse cucumbers against the background of their relatively low supply. Analysts noted that the second half of this week was marked by a noticeable increase in the activity of wholesale companies regarding greenhouse cucumber, while its selection in Ukrainian greenhouse plants remains minimal. Importers believe that the price of cucumber will continue to increase, while the price increase will continue, at least, until the end of February.
