Georgia entered the top five largest blueberry suppliers to Russia, overtaking Serbia

According to EastFruit analysts, in 2021 Russia increased blueberry imports by 21% in real terms. The volume of blueberry imports to the Russian Federation for the first time exceeded 10 thousand tons and reached 10.7 thousand tons. It should be noted that, like a year earlier, Georgia increased blueberry exports to Russia faster than other supplying countries, thanks to which, in 2021, for the first time, it entered the top 5 largest suppliers of fresh blueberries to the Russian market. Over the year, blueberry exports from Georgia to Russia increased by 37% or 230 tons and reached 850 tons in 2021.
