Peru has seen a 63% surge in lemon exports in the first three weeks of 2024, shipping 5,432 tons internationally. This increase is attributed to the growing international demand, particularly from the United States, Spain, China, Dominican Republic, and Germany. The majority of these exports are dispatched from the Port of Paita. The Tahiti variety is the most exported, with Multifoods S.A.C., Agromar Industrial S.A., Limones Piuranos S.A.C., Ecosac Agrícola S.A.C., and Procesadora Laran S.A.C. being the leading exporters.
