An analysis by the DLG reveals that over 15 million tons of grain and oilseeds have arrived in the EU by May 1, with Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, and Bulgaria being the main recipients. Ukraine has become a significant supplier to the EU, with 24.4 million tons of grain and oilseeds being imported since July 2022. Although the closure of the grain corridor raises concerns about land transport routes, new trade routes have been established, and grain prices are expected to continue to put pressure on the Eastern European market and eventually the Western market.
