The drop in consumption in Europe has had a strong impact on red fruits. The red fruit sector was not spared from the Covid-19 crisis. Between a drop in exports, a reduction in consumption and an increase in hygiene and transport costs, the sector is under pressure. The sector is suffering according to the president of the Interprofessional Federation of Red Fruits, Interproberries. Indeed, the increase in fees imposed by the coronavirus is impacting producers. Before the trucks paid for their outward and return routes which is no longer the case..
