The government of Pakistan has decided to import wheat, edible oil, and certain fresh produce into the country to overcome the shortage and build up strategic reserves. The Pakistan Trading Corporation welcomes local and international exporters and importers to lend their support for the import of more than 500,000 tonnes of wheat and edible oil into the country to meet the country's food commodity shortage caused by devastating floods. It is considered a massive opportunity for international traders to approach local importers in the country to trade with them to meet local demand. It has also been found that traders from the UAE are re-exporting massive stocks to Pakistan, including fruits, edible oil, dry spices, nuts, and so on.
