Watermelon Price in Spain on the Rise Caused by High Demand and Less Production

Spanish watermelon price increased by +28.01% YoY to USD 0.89/kg in W2 Jun-22. The increased price is driven by the farmer's reduced planted area because of the poor sales performance in the previous campaign and also the adverse weather led to lesser production. While demand is on the rise in the destination market because of the summer season. That reason led the Spanish watermelon price to increase in June 2022.
