Market Trends: The average price per item of juices varies significantly across the Top 20 products across the Top 10 leading global markets in Mar-25. China boasts the highest average price at USD 41.44 per item, considerably exceeding the average price across all countries due to a high demand for premium products. Summi’s NFC Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice (330 ml x 15) fetched the highest price at USD 102.57. In stark contrast, Australia exhibits the lowest average price at USD 2.96 per item. The cheapest product was Yoga Pear Juice (200 ml x 3) in France at USD 1.03. The average price across all countries is USD 14.47 per item.

Noteworthy Products: In Japan, Kagome’s Tomato Juice No Salt Added gained significant attention in Mar-25, securing 2nd place on Tridge’s Top 20 list. The product meets the demand for healthy beverages due to its “No Salt” label as consumers seek to move away from products with added salt and/or sugar.

Industry News: Orange juice prices have sharply declined in early 2025 due to low quality and limited demand. The May-25 contract at ICE Futures dropped 20.6% in Mar-25 and 42.8% for the year, settling at US¢ 276.45 per pound (lb). The Center for Advanced Studies on Applied Economics (Cepea) attributes this to poor sugar/acid ratios and excessive limonin content, which has increased bitterness and reduced market acceptance. Despite falling prices, CitrusBR reported that orange juice inventories hit a record low of 351,483 tons by the end of 2024, down 24.2% from 2023. Additionally, warm weather and low rainfall in São Paulo state are raising concerns about future citrus production.
