In Ukraine, there is no industrial cultivation of horseradish, although the demand for raw materials is quite high. Therefore, manufacturers of horseradish food products are forced to import roots, primarily from Hungary. This is stated in the TSN Week video report. As noted by Ihor Semeniuk, Deputy Chairman of the Board of PJSC "Vinnytsia Food Flavor Factory," there is no culture of industrial cultivation of horseradish roots in Ukraine. There are also no farms engaged in this business, and there is not even an officially registered variety.
