18 tons of safflower seeds were distributed to Turkish farmers

In Kayseri, 18 tons of safflower seeds were distributed free of charge to the farmers by the Melikgazi Municipality and the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry. Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry, Mustafa Şahin, said that Turkey is a self-sufficient country in agricultural production at the ceremony held in Gesi District. Stating that Turkey has a say in bakery products, Şahin stated that it ranks first in flour export and second in pasta and that it competes with Italy. Şahin stated that Kayseri occupies a modest position in safflower production, while it was in the 7th rank, it rose to the 5th rank with the support of the ministry last year.
