[2025 Livestock Forum] Agreement on policy paradigm shift: "Livestock is a resource, not a subject of regulation"

‘Beyond Disposal, Towards Complete Utilization of Livestock Manure/What are the Success Strategies for Complete Utilization of Livestock Manure Seen by Operators and Experts?’ was the theme of the ‘2025 Livestock Forum’ hosted by Democratic Party of Korea Members of the National Assembly Song Ok-ju and Im Mi-ae, and organized by this newspaper. Held on November 5 at the 1st Seminar Hall of the National Assembly Building, the forum brought together operators and experts involved in projects promoting rural energy independence, including circular livestock farming, biogas, power generation, solid fuel from livestock manure, and livestock manure biochar, to share the livestock manure-related policies being promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and cases of livestock manure utilization, and to discuss improvement measures for expanding its use as a resource.
