REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MEULABOH -- The West Aceh Regency government has recorded that approximately 2,100 hectares of rice fields planted by farmers in 10 districts are now severely damaged due to the flash flood that occurred on Wednesday (26/11). "Out of the total 2,500 hectares of rice fields planted in the 2025 lean season, around 2,100 hectares were affected by the flash flood in West Aceh," said Safrizal, Head of the West Aceh Regency Agriculture, Food Crops, and Horticulture Service, on Tuesday (9/11/2025). He said that out of the 2,100 hectares of rice fields damaged by the flash flood, about 1,700 hectares need to be replanted by farmers due to crop failure. The distribution of submerged and affected rice fields includes the districts of Pante Ceureumen, Sungai Mas, Woyla Timur, Woyla Barat, Woyla, and Arongan Lambalek.
