The Wanding Port, located on the China-Myanmar border, has been receiving trucks loaded with Myanmar Saint Dragon mangoes daily, which are inspected and quarantined before being sent to cities like Kunming, Chengdu, and Chongqing.
Zuo Leng, head of the Hehe Fruit Trading Market in the Wanding Economic Development Zone, stated that the peak season for Saint Dragon mangoes is from May to July. Currently, the import volume has reached its peak, with an average daily import of 300 tons, yet demand still exceeds supply.
Wanding Customs data shows that since importing the first batch of Myanmar Saint Dragon mangoes on April 25, up to June 30, Wanding Customs has supervised and released a total of 3,882.5 tons of imported mangoes, a significant increase compared to the same period last year.
