During the marketing year, Ukraine exported 580 thousand tons of sugar, which constitutes 32% of the total production. This was reported by the National Association of Sugar Producers of Ukraine. The export figure is 16% lower than in the previous marketing year, when 692 thousand tons were directed to foreign markets. Of the total exports for the 2024–2025 marketing year, 17% went to EU countries, while 83% went to the global market. For comparison, in the 2023–2024 marketing year, the ratio was 77% EU and 23% global market. Among the main importers of Ukrainian sugar in the 2024–2025 marketing year: Ukrainian farmers have started harvesting sugar beets for the 2025–2026 season.
