Peak frosts of recent weeks will not have a critical impact on the harvest of winter crops in Ukraine

According to preliminary monitoring results, no significant damage to winter crops has been recorded. Partial re-sowing is possible in some farms in the central and southeastern regions, where a deficit of snow cover or the formation of an ice crust was observed. At the same time, the situation is not nationwide. Final conclusions on the condition of crops are planned to be formed in late February – early March after summarizing data from all regions. According to preliminary estimates, vegetable production in the summer-autumn period of 2025 increased by 20–25% compared to the previous year.
