JAKARTA — The government ensures to optimize the Rice Supply and Price Stabilization Program (SPHP) to curb price developments. In 2026, the SPHP rice program was successfully managed so that there were no disruptions in distribution during the year change. Meanwhile, in previous years, the beginning of the year was the transition of the government's annual budget which required time for the implementation of the SPHP rice. Regarding this, the National Food Agency (Bapanas) noted that the SPHP rice program in 2026 was divided into two parts, namely January and February which were an extension of the 2025 SPHP rice program. Meanwhile, the 2026 SPHP rice program was rolled out starting in March. The realization of the SPHP rice in January-February reached 221 thousand tons, while the realization of the SPHP rice from March to April 25 was 150.2 thousand tons.
