In October 2022, Egypt's fish imports totaled $508.834 million, according to the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics. The imports included $140 million worth of shrimp, $114.601 million for mackerel, $101.192 million for frozen herring and sardines, $96 million for fry fish, $32 million for crabs, lobsters and squids, and $19.362 million for salmon.
