In a recent interview, Abdolreza Seyed Ahmadi disclosed that for the 1402-1403 crop year, Khuzestan province has dedicated 43 thousand hectares to the cultivation of rapeseed, anticipating a yield of 63 thousand tons, which doubles the production of the previous year. As the leading province in Iran for rapeseed cultivation and production, Khuzestan has prepared 40 shopping centers to buy the crop at a guaranteed price of 35 thousand tomans per kilogram. The province employs high-yielding hybrid seeds such as Hyola 50 and Trapper, primarily in 26 cities, with Shush and Behbahan being the top cultivators. To ensure a smooth harvest, which is expected to last until the end of May, arrangements for harvesters and their transport to remote areas have been made.
