A certificate handover ceremony was held for Erzincan Tulum Cheese, which has received European Union registration

After Erzincan Tulum Cheese receiving the European Union (EU) Geographical Indication Registration Certificate, a certificate handover ceremony was held. The certificate handover ceremony was conducted at the Erzincan Chamber of Commerce and Industry following the completion of the geographical indication registration process for Erzincan tulum cheese by the EU Commission on May 27, 2025. Speaking at the ceremony, Governor Hamza Aydoğdu stated that Erzincan is a city known for its tulum cheese. Recalling that 32 products in Turkey have received EU registration, Aydoğdu noted: "It is pride-inducing that Erzincan Tulum Cheese is among the 32 products. Hereafter, when 450-500 million people in the European Union encounter products with EU registration, they will see Erzincan's name.
