Soybean planting is significantly delayed across much of the country due to irregular rainfall, but in the Matopiba region the scenario is more favorable. According to Rural Channel meteorologist Arthur Müller, the return of humidity has encouraged producers and allowed field operations to advance. According to Conab data, Brazil is experiencing about a 4% delay in planting compared to the same period of the previous season. In Matopiba, however, the pace is faster, with 87% of the area having been planted, while Tocantins has reached 83%, entering the final stages of work. Nevertheless, some obstacles persist, especially in Maranhão, where rain has been concentrated more in the southern part of the state, and in Piauí, which depends on more regular rainfall in the central-south.
