A failure for aronia producers in Poland

This year's aronia harvest is a great failure for producers, as the hopes for reimbursement of the costs incurred for growing this plant turned out to be illusory. We asked Piotr Nowak - the president of Korab Garden's Group of Fruit Producers of Blueberry Fruit and a member of the Audit Committee of the National Association of Aronia Growers "Aronia Polska" to assess the situation on the chokeberry market. Lack of much interest in buying fruit, low initial prices (which, along with the increased deliveries, were lowered day by day) and the short time of purchasing the raw material led to great chaos in the growers' search for opportunities to sell this product. It is true that on the Internet there were still advertisements for the purchase of chokeberry at the price of 0.80-0.85 gr / kg, but these were the needs for fruits for freezing, which, however, were mostly unsuitable for this purpose due to damage caused by prolonged drought .
