Vietnam's tuna exports in September 2022 saw a 54% increase from the previous year, reaching over 78 million USD. The cumulative tuna exports from January to September reached nearly 808 million USD, a 55% increase from the same period in 2021. Despite a decrease in freight rates and increasing inflation reducing import demand, the tuna market in Vietnam is expected to hit 1 billion USD soon. The US is the largest market for Vietnam's tuna exports, followed by the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) and the European Union (EU). Belgium and Germany have seen a significant increase in tuna imports from Vietnam. Dragon Waves, Bidifisco, and Havuco are the leading tuna exporters in the country.
