A large-scale recall has erupted in the United States: involving multiple tuna and other seafood products.

According to an FDA announcement, the recall originated from Gold Star Distribution, headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota. During inspections, the FDA found that the company had severe unsanitary conditions in its storage and distribution processes, including rodent excrement, urine, and bird droppings in areas where human food, pet food, drugs, and cosmetics were stored. The FDA warned that exposure to or consumption of the affected products could pose serious health risks, although no confirmed cases have been reported so far. This recall covers three states: Indiana, Minnesota, and North Dakota, involving over 50 retailers, with a wide range of affected products.
