The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the General Administration of Customs of China have signed a protocol on official exports of watermelons from Vietnam to China, allowing Vietnamese watermelons to be officially exported to the Chinese market and penetrate deeper into mainland China. This protocol will also require standardized labeling, company details, and compliance with import market regulations and requirements for official exports of watermelons. Additionally, Vietnam is working with China to find export directions for frozen durian, fresh coconut, grapefruit, and other fruits, with expectations for fruit and vegetable exports to reach 6 billion USD, particularly with the significant increase in durian exports to China.
