The African Agricultural Technology Foundation (AATF), in collaboration with the National Root Crops Research Institute (NRCRI), has initiated a Good Agronomic Practices (GAP) training program to enhance the skills of cassava farmers and processors in southwest Nigeria. The program, supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by GIZ, aims to benefit over 6,000 beneficiaries, with a special focus on women and youths, over a period of three years. The training will cover crucial aspects such as best agronomic practices, cassava value addition, and financial management, with the ultimate goal of improving cassava farming and processing in Nigeria.
