Abalone rice continues to achieve success in U.S. exports.

Abalone seaweed rice has made its way into the U.S. market once again. The Mokpo Fisheries Food Support Center, as a result of the '2025 Joint Technology Development Project,' collaborated with Haedam Fisheries Corporation to improve the process and export abalone seaweed rice to the U.S., holding a shipment ceremony five days ago. The abalone seaweed rice shipped this time is a product jointly researched and developed by three institutions: the Mokpo Fisheries Food Support Center, the Korea Food Industry Cluster Promotion Agency, and the Marine Bio Research Center. It is the second export volume for the U.S. market. A total of 5,000 units (worth $15,000 USD) were shipped.
