Meat exports from Brazil to China are expected to resume at the end of March following a suspension due to a case of mad cow disease. The case was identified as isolated and atypical, posing no risk to herds or humans. This expected resumption comes as Brazilian President Lula is set to visit China to discuss potential bilateral deals in areas such as climate change, energy efficiency, technology, agriculture, and defense. China is Brazil's main trade partner, importing nearly US$ 90 billion from Brazil in 2022.
