In September, exports of beef reached a billing of 410 million dollars, which represented a year-on-year increase of 37%, reflecting the strong global demand for the product.
The ABC Exporters Consortium explained in its monthly report: "The average export price of refrigerated and frozen beef was $5,761 per ton in September 2025. This value is 4.1% higher than that obtained in August last year; and 39.8% higher than the average price of September 2024, which had been $4,121 per ton".
That increase in foreign exchange income would have been much greater if sales had grown in volume at a higher rate. However, the data released by the ABC Exporters Consortium indicates that 71,300 tons of the product were shipped, 1.7% less than in August of this year and in September of 2024.
