Acting Riau governor supports cooperation with Japanese students on palm oil downstreaming

Acting Governor of Riau, Rahman Hadi, received a visit from a doctoral student from Tokyo University of Agriculture, Prima Ghandi at the Riau Governor's residence, Jalan Diponegoro, Pekanbaru. The visit aimed to report on research plans related to palm oil downstreaming in Riau Province and discuss the potential for investment in the palm oil downstreaming industry by Japan. ADVERTISEMENT Prima Ghandi, in the meeting with Rahman Hadi, also explained that the research that will be conducted by his party focuses on palm oil downstreaming. The goal is to utilize palm fruit certified by the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO). Ghandi also revealed that there is an opportunity for cooperation with Japan if sustainable palm oil raw materials can be available and facilitated in Riau.
