Africa gives a strong boost to Dutch onion exports

Sales to Senegal in particular are causing a strong increase in onion exports. In week 33, almost 11,000 tons went to this West African country and a week later another 7,200 tons were shipped. In addition, Ivory Coast accounted for a total purchase of around 5,000 tonnes in these weeks. In week 34, there were ten countries that imported more than 500 tons of Dutch onions. This includes seven West African countries. And those seven African countries accounted for a total purchase of more than 15,000 tons that week.
