The West Java Provincial Food and Livestock Security Office (DKPP) is distributing cattle to help recover the livestock population after a foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) outbreak. The province is also receiving support from the Indonesian Dairy Cooperative Association (GKSI) for at least 138 imported dairy cows. In 2022, the province overcame the FMD outbreak with an 82.2% recovery rate and a mortality rate of 16.8%. The government's handling of the outbreak was recognized with awards from local organizations.
