As of May 25, nearly 900 thousand hectares out of an planned 1102 thousand hectares in the East Kazakhstan region have been sown with agricultural crops. The majority of the sown area is dedicated to grain and leguminous crops, with grain mixture and millet leading in sowing volume. There has also been significant progress in sowing corn for grain, covering about 5 thousand hectares, or 47% of the planned area. Additionally, the area for buckwheat, which is set to increase by 1.5 times this year, has seen 18% sown.
